The Queens Music and Dance School is a community-based school for the performing arts registered with The New York State Eduction Department under the gifted leadership of Noel Lin. It is the goal of the school to provide training in music and dance, fostering appreciation for the arts. Now offered: an Afterschool Program (3-6pm, 3-7pm, 3-8pm) and a Language Center (English, ESL, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Russian). The school offers highly talented professional musicians and instructors who taught or graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Music Institute. Winners and participants of international competitions from distinct nationalities and college music professors are also invited to instruct all aspects of music. The School has the most advanced technical books in use that are certified by the European Education Department. Through firm teaching and the use of European curriculums, they can bring forth the musical talents in your child. Several recitals are held each year and students also attend the annual QMS placement examinations for two criteria: 1) individual technical skills and 2) how the pupils think and express musically. The certification will be given for various levels of achievement. The school also provides children, teens and adults with classes in ballet, tap, modern, Pointe, exercise, jazz and ballroom, all taught by highly skilled professional dancers.
