Paint Me a Picture, Inc. in Bellmore welcomes its “the sibling studio,” Paint Me a Picture Too in Dix Hills. This brand-new location offers the same great art programs for children interested in exploring the worlds of art, music and books through self-discovery. Ann Selinger-Stromfeld, director of Paint Me a Picture, believes that her art studios are places where kids can learn about art, have fun exploring their imaginations and, above all, be comfortable with who they are. The studio offers a variety of classes including "Mommy and Me” classes titled “Les Petite Artistes" starting at 24 months; "Play and Paints,” a first time separation class which introduces shapes, colors and lots more to 2½- 3-year-olds through paint, collage, printing and drawing; “The Topsy-Turvy Triangles,” which is geared toward 3 to 4-year-olds and their Crazy Circles which is for 2½ to 5 year olds. All classes use unique methods, like dancing to music and listening to children’s books, to get the children’s creative juices flowing. There are also classes for kindergartners through 6th grade which expose budding artists to drawing, painting, sculpting and collage, allowing the student more freedom and supporting a more sophisticated level of creation.
