The Functional Learning Center seeks to address the issue of ineffective therapies for ADHD and other learning disorders. Its goal is to help children improve in their condition and get off of potentially dangerous drugs. The center also gives parents a break from monotonous behavior modification therapies that can create stress and negative feelings among families. Therapy at the F.L.C. is derived from the most comprehensive and cutting edge-knowledge of the brain’s role in ADHD and other learning disorders. It recognizes that no therapy will be effective without guidance that is functionally appropriate for its recipient. A functional assessment and evaluation is conducted to ensure that the appropriate therapy is given to each individual member.
