The Forest Hills Jewish Center, located in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, is a traditional, egalitarian Conservative congregation, affiliated with United Synagogue and the Jewish Theological Seminary. For 77 years FHJC has had the ability to appeal spiritually to the many varieties of Conservative Jews who call this Synagogue their home. With a membership in excess of 600 families, the Center provides a full range of offerings, and features an award winning nursery school and a thriving religious schools (including high school), a summer camp and youth programs for all ages. Young children can attend their own “Kids Kongregation” on Shabbat morning with their parents, and Jr. Congregation targets children from 2nd-8th grades. This year, the Religious School is offering free tuition for new students in kindergarten and first grade. Social events fill the synagogue calendar and provide many opportunities for fun and friendship— Karaoke Night, Square Dancing, Coffee House, Zohar classes, bridge lessons and many others.
