The Children’s Center has been a well-kept secret since 1980. It is nestled on the Farmingdale State College campus just minutes from Route 110 and Melville Road. The program serves children 8 weeks to pre-k and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Each class provides a developmentally appropriate educational curriculum. The nursery and pre-k programs are structured to provide a wide variety of educational activities that will promote a love of lifelong learning. Activities include: computer time; science areas; pre-math and pre-writing skills; art and music appreciation; and a large, outdoor, fenced-in play area for large motor development. The children also participate in activities sponsored by the college. The center is open year round and offers a summer camp program for children ages 5-12 years.
