CATZ, the Competitive Athlete Training Zone, was founded with the purpose of bringing a new fitness philosophy for training kids, athletes and adults across Long Island. The CATZ facility is run by medical, fitness and sports professionals with years of experience who all share the same goal of helping people prepare to be a part of a healthier generation of Americans. CATZ has developed a nationally recognized fitness program specifically designed for children ages 6 to 10 as a means of helping them to enjoy and embrace physical activity for a lifetime of good health. The CATZ Sports FUNdamentals program is a fun, engaging and cooperation-based program designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, general flexibility/mobility and overall strength of young children at a very important age in their lives. These 45-minute classes motivate kids to embrace a healthy lifestyle and enhance coordination, movement patterns and fitness using task-oriented drills and games. The program provides an introduction to the Five Levels of CATZ training, a progressive achievement-based program for athletes ages 11 and older. Each class contains a maximum of 10 children and is offered once, two or three times a week, featuring monthly rates lower then karate, dance or other youth activities. CATZ also offers engaging Adult Fitness classes that are tailored to give participants of all fitness levels the results they want in a motivating, fun and efficient workout. Finally, athlete performance training at CATZ allows middle school, high school, collegiate and professional athletes to train in small groups in CATZ’s modern facilities and receive hands-on attention from certified coaches and performance directors.
