Beginnings provides a nurturing, stimulating environment where children learn through play, explore, form strong friendships and learn from one another. Certified, experienced teachers encourage and guide play, offer a comforting lap to sit on and help children feel secure and confident. Goals for children are simple: to support a child’s self-esteem; to encourage cooperation and problem solving and to develop within each child a love of learning. The curriculum is a natural extension of the children’s curiosity. A partnership between teachers and children provides an atmosphere which is rich in possibilities and responds to the unique wonders of each individual child. The bright and colorful classrooms have access to a sunlit, country-like backyard play area. Flower boxes and trees provide a lovely respite from city streets. Morning and afternoon programs are available. Beginnings welcomes children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years.
