Academy of St. Joseph is a new school on the block. Founded in 2007 and located in Greenwich Village, the Academy provides an enriched, vibrant and balanced co-ed humanities-based curriculum where character, competence and compassion are the cornerstones. Students will be encouraged to excel at what they do, to embrace a cause or belief with passion and intelligence, and to always strive to treat people with respect and dignity. The Academy is accepting applications for the fall of 2008-2009 in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 1st grade. The school will add a program for 3 year olds and a 2nd grade class in the 2009-2010 school year. A grade will be added each year up to the 8th grade. In addition to the core curriculum of math, literacy, science and social studies, the Academy offers religion, art, music, French, Italian, library and gymnastics. The Academy welcomes you to tour the facility and to meet with the head of the school.
