Give your children the opportunities to explore, develop and learn under the caring supervision of trained professionals at the YMCA Extended Day Program. Specifically tailored for children in grades kindergarten through sixth, this unique program offers children a safe and caring after school environment where they can do homework, make friends and have fun. The Sussex County YMCA is known for providing innovative child care where children are encouraged to participate in arts and crafts, gym activities, games and special events. Kids will also be provided with an after-school snack. Homework help is offered by the supervisors and trained assistants, allowing you to have more quality time with your children when at home. Staffed with dedicated caregivers of the highest caliber, the YMCA employs only the most qualified applicants who are thoroughly screened and trained to minimize any risks to your children while in their care. The program even accomodates its hours according to regular school sessions. When schools are on a half-day schedule, the program begins after school closing. The program is closed when school is closed. Otherwise, the Extended Day Program operates from school closing until 6pm.
