Families are invited to discover one of New Jersey’s premiere equestrian centers! Seaton Hackney Stables carries on its rich heritage by providing Morris County residents, both young and old alike, with everything from riding lessons, preschool programs, birthday parties and troop riding, to trail rides, summer camps, after-school programs and an opportunity to become involved with equestrian sports and activities. Situated on 30 impressive acres and adjacent to miles of riding trails in the Loantaka Brook Reservation, the complex that once housed the famous Hackney Racing Stables boasts indoor and outdoor barns, 50 stalls of various sizes, a party/general assembly room, two large fenced-in riding rings, a mile-long driving and galloping track and much more. New this year are Birthday Parties at Seaton Hackney, which include unlimited pony and mini cart rides, a petting Donkey and pizza and drinks for a very reasonable fee, with optional hay rides and other amusements. Seaton Hackney offers a wide variety of year-round horsemanship programs for visitors of all ages. Programs for the coming fall season include the Petite Equestrian Program for 3 - 6 year olds and the Troop Riding Program for ages 8 - 17. Group lessons, Trail Rides and the Rusty Riders Club will also be available.
