Announcing
the
Together We Have
Earth-Saving Super Powers
contest that will empower children
12 years and under to positively impact the environment...
and our future.
Entries
may include drawings, paintings or photographs that show how
families, classes or individual children use their “Earth-Saving
Powers” to protect the environment. Some examples of eco-friendly
behaviors include:
recycling
taking mass transportation
encouraging adults to buy energy-efficient light bulbs
helping plant trees
reminding adults to buy non-plastic carrying bags to the grocery
store every time they shop
Children
need to feel a sense of control over their own futures, and
should be encouraged to “flex their muscles” and make positive
changes using their natural “super powers,” creating a better,
safer tomorrow for themselves and their neighbors. They will
learn that even small efforts can bring about big changes!
Parents
can help children complete the activity at home while teachers
can offer the contest activity as a classroom project, and
encourage students to submit their work for prizes.
