Jo-Ann’s Dance Studio - The Performing Arts Centre, recently celebrated it’s 30th anniversary training students in dance (ballet, pointe, tap, moderne, jazz, hip-hop) piano and vocal training since 1978. The studio has also developed new and innovative programs such as movement and dance programs for students with special needs, both at its South Plainfield location and also at the Center School in Highland Park, NJ. This local landmark is once again expanding the range of what they have to offer. This year they will be including classes in musical theatre. The performing arts center hopes to become the home it’s own children’s theatre company within the next year. The Performing Arts Center contains four full-size studios. Five hundred students, ranging in age from three years through adults, beginner through professional levels, come from all over central Jersey to study at the center.
