Eastern National Academy ("ENA") is beginning its 10th season in Paramus! ENA is located next to the Paramus Park Mall and across the street from the Expo Center. Director Craig Zappa takes great pride in the success of the Academy and strives to make each child's gymnastics experience as rewarding as possible. In the last few years, ENA has produced local, state, regional and national champions. Gymnastics training develops strength, coordination, flexibility and balance. These skills, acquired through proper training, provide the basic skills to excel in all sports and athletic activities. ENA offers two different programs: Preschool (for children 18 months up to age 6) and General (for children ages 5 through high school). ENA's Preschool Program is divided into three age groups. The "Mom/Dad and Tot" class is for toddlers ages 18 months through three years old and serves as an introduction to a structured exercise program. On the large preschool developmental equipment, children improve their motor skills, while sharing time with mom and dad. In the "Three-Year-Old" class, children discover and experiment with body movement, expression and awareness on new, imaginative equipment and gymnastics apparatus. The "Four-Through-Six-Year-Old" class builds skills learned in earlier classes, enhancing the child's self-esteem, confidence and ability to work with others. ENA's General Programis for boys and girls five years old through high school and prmotes a solid base in gymnastics skills. In addition, cheering programs for all ages and classes for both competitive and non-competitive gymnasts are offered.
