For over 30 years, Hoff-Barthelson Music School has provided the ideal setting for a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable summer for 2nd-9th graders. With its exceptional faculty, boasting some of the top performers and music educators in the country, the School is uniquely suited to offer a quality summer experience of music, art and theater. Students at all levels of advancement receive instruction in a program individually tailored to their needs and desires. The Basic Program, from 9am-noon, is divided into elementary, junior and senior categories. Each child receives an instrumental lesson, takes visual art and a drama workshop, and performs in some of the weekly Friday concerts. Juniors and seniors participate in ensembles and may also make choices among jazz band, chamber music, and music and technology workshops. Extended Day offers an afternoon program with choices like Simple Symphony, Composers Corner, World Drumming, Chamber Music Workshop and Jazz Workshop, “HB Rocks!” Advanced Guitar Ensemble and Music Technology Lab for advanced juniors and seniors. The Musical Theatre Workshop for ages 9-14 culminates with a final performance at the program’s end. From June 30-August 1.
