At Kenwal Day Camp, family owned and operated for 30 years, they cultivate their campers’ desire to participate, have fun and try their best, without the pressure of having to win. Situated on 20 magnificent acres, Kenwal is accented by many tree-shaded activity areas, wondrous nature trails, a half-acre man-made lake and the finest facilities and equipment, to ensure every camper hours of fun, exploration and excitement. They feature four heated pools, go-karts, two 10 ft high, 40ft wide slip-n-slide rides, a video arcade game room and beach volleyball. Now there are also bungee trampolines and inflatable rides for 2008! Activities include: tennis, basketball, soccer, archery, karate, street hockey, mini-golf, music, drama, arts & crafts, inline rollerblading, rock climbing, mountain biking and zip line. Special Events include carnival, Olympics and guest appearances. The Pre-school and kindergarten program modifies activities to meet the needs of younger campers. Super Seniors, campers entering 5th and 6th grade, participate in many off camp activities like a Mets game and bowling. Kenwal Teens, entering 7th and 8th grade, participate in off camp activities at least three times weekly, including Great Adventure, Broadway shows and beach trips. Their Counselors in Training program for teens entering 9th and 10th grade, combines counselor training sessions with field trips. Kenwal creates small groups of campers for each activity to ensure that each camper gets the maximum attention possible from counselors and group leaders.
