The Huntington Center for Performing Arts, described as “a hub of creativity,” encourages your budding artists and performers to hone their skills and appreciate performing arts, while serving the surrounding community. A professional faculty is the hallmark of the Center year round and summer is no exception to this standard. Campers will be introduced to fine arts like painting, drawing, jewelry making and scrapbooking; music like violin, piano and voice; dance like Jazz, Ballet and Hip-Hop; Theater; and Yoga. Guests artists and teachers are featured throughout the season. To really give your children a great experience throughout their summer program, the Center hosts Special Events like a beach party, tea party, 4th of July, Christmas/Hanukah in July, 80s party and more! All activities take place in the comfortable, air-conditioned facility starting July 14 for two, two-week sessions. Mini-days for ages 4 and 5, from 9:30am-12:30pm. Full-days for ages 6-9, from 10am-3pm. New this season: July Ballet Program for ages 7 and older, from July 14-25. Also offered throughout July are private violin and piano lessons. In August, an intensive ballet program is offered for ages 7 and up. Dancers are placed according to proficiency, and classes are everyday except Friday for at least an hour. August sessions run from the 4th-18th. Call for a free placement class between now and June 16.
