C.W. Post Summer Day Camp means summer fun for everyone. Located on the grounds of the beautiful C.W. Post Campus, the camp provides a safe, healthy, and intellectually-enriching atmosphere fostering creativity, and balancing summer fun with structured learning. The camp seeks to help children develop self awareness, confidence and respect for the rights of others. Activities at the camp include arts & crafts, sports, computers, games, music, dance, drama, nature, swim, and full use of the college facilities including the pool, sports facilities, and professional computer labs. Campers are encouraged to participate in activities, but never forced. Special theme days such as Halloween in August, Camp Carnival, Talent Show, and Camp Olympics are a blast! Campers are divided by age and ability into the Discovery Group (ages 5-7), the Adventure Group (ages 8-9), The Explorer Group (ages 10-12) or, if accepted, Leaders in Training (13-14), or Counselors in Training (15-16). All camp groups are supervised by an adult counselor as well as adult teachers and specialists. The ratio of staff to campers is 1:6. Camp is in session July 3-August 18, 9am-3:30pm, with an after camp program available from 3:30-6pm. Choose from 1 to 7 week programs. The C.W.
