Open House for spring registration is Monday, March 31, 7:30pm. The Midshore Mothers’ Center (MMC) is a nonprofit, non-sectarian, volunteer-based organization, established and operated by mothers, for mothers. The MMC was created to provide a forum for mothers to reduce isolation and gain the support, knowledge and validation that enhances their lives and ultimately the lives of their loved ones. In addition to many workshops, clubs, social activities and outreach projects, a variety of women’s discussion groups are offered. Topics may include: Transition to Motherhood, Communication in Marriage, Children with Special Needs, etc. While mothers participate in discussions, children are cared for in safe, age-appropriate childcare rooms by trained mothers in the center. The MMC also offers Baby and Me, Mommy and Me and Separation classes. These age-appropriate classes, starting at age 6 months, foster social development and interactive participation through play, music and other activities. Sibling childcare is also available. The Summer Fun program offers a wide array of activities and social events. These include Daddy and Me T-Ball, Mommy and Me at the park, as well as trips to zoos, aquariums, amusement parks, etc. There are also plenty of activities just for moms!
