Lawrence Woodmere Academy’s flexible five-day program, available in four-, six- and eight-week sessions, is for children ages 3-15. Nursery-age groups have a half-, three-quarter-, three- or five-day option to accommodate the special needs of beginner campers. For more than 31 years, LWA has provided a warm and nurturing coed environment where children may develop the skills necessary to help them achieve their individual goals. LWA’s beautiful 10-acre, tree-lined campus provides for plenty of fun, rain or shine. Red Cross certification instruction takes place in two heated, outdoor swimming pools. A fabulous athletic program features: softball, basketball, soccer, volleyball and tennis. Guest athletes conduct sports clinics throughout the summer. LWA is multifaceted. In a state-of-the-art theater, campers may explore their talents in the cultural arts areas of music, drama and dance. Artistic self-expression is encouraged in a variety of arts and crafts experiences. Air-conditioned classrooms and a computer center allow for indoor activities as well. Off-campus excursions and professional entertainment on campus enrich the entire camp community. Door-to-door, minivan-bus transportation and lunch are included; kosher meals available on request.
