The Boys and Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich, a nonprofit youth organization, has planned a fun-filled, affordable, exciting, six-week Summer Recreation Program. Children are divided into three, grade-specific groups: k-3, 4-6 and 7-10. The camp runs from July 7-August 10, 8am-3pm. Extended care is available from 3-6pm each week for an additional charge. Register for as many or as few weeks as you like. Fees include costs for trips, transportation and supervision. Each camper receives a T-shirt for every week attended. Applications, schedules and other information regarding the program will be available at the Clubhouse in Oyster Bay as well as on the Web site starting in April. Scholarships for discounted tuition are available as well. Campers in grades k-3 meet five days a week and enjoy three trips per week to destinations such as Adventureland, Splish Splash, and Fun Zone. They meet onsite two days a week and enjoy a variety of planned activities, events and guest speakers. Those in grades 4-6 meet five days a week and enjoy four trips per week to destinations such as Great Adventure, Dorney Park, Fun Station U.S.A., and New York Yankee and Met Games. They meet onsite once a week and enjoy a variety of planned activities, events and guest speakers. Traveling Camp, for those in grades 7-10, meets three days and includes trips to areas like Six Flags Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor and more.
