The Westfield Area Y is proud to announce
that it has received American Camping Association (ACA) accreditation!
The ACA is the only organization that accredits all types
of camps and applies nearly 300 national standards for health
and safety. At the Westfield Area Y, campers gain new skills
and have fun under the watchful eye of highly trained counselors.
Y camp staff receive pre-camp specific training including
certification in CPR and First Aid. Whether it’s a traditional
camp filled with sports, swimming, games and crafts, or a
specialty camp like skateboarding, cooking or fishing, the
Westfield Area Y has a camp that’s right for you. All
camps are built around the core values of caring, honesty,
respect and responsibility. New this summer: Basic day camp
now runs 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and a Combo Care option provides
a special rate to parents who need before care and after care,
five days per week. Traditional, Specialty and Sports camps
are available for children ages 3-15 from June 25-August 31.
Full and half day camps are available as is before and after
care. Camp complement is available for campers interested
in a half-day specialty camp but want a full day program.
Drop in and meet some of the camp staff at an Open House on
March 22 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Robert and Virginia Bauer
Family Branch and April 14 during Healthy Kids Day at the
Main Facility on Clark Street. Online registration is available
for Westfield Area Y members.
