Summer 2008 promises to be fun and exciting at South Orange Country Day School! Captivating themed activities, field trips, and special visitors are planned for each week. Morning sessions are educationally based, while afternoons are more recreational. Summer camp sessions run from June 30th through August 22 and families are welcome to sign up for the entire summer or for individual weeks, depending on your schedule and your child’s interests. Choose from exciting themes such as: Getting Ready for Summer; Olympic Week; Dinosaur Week; Circus Week; Animal Week; Community Week and Beach Week. Under new ownership, SOCDS is a culturally-diverse, private preschool which offers a Montessori learning experience for students 2½ years of age through Kindergarten. The school strives to engender a sense of wonder and excitement about learning by employing Montessori method at an age when children are most receptive and respond with enthusiasm. School-year classes meet from 8:45am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Half-day programs are available. SOCDS also offers supervised before-school care starting at 7:30am and after-school care until 6:30pm.
