Whether your children have aspirations
of becoming professional actors, singers, dancers or directors
or just want to experience the fun of “putting on a
show,” The Performing Arts Studio welcomes them to be
a part of their theatre camp. Camp is held at Terrill Middle
School in Scotch Plains. The Performing Arts Studio runs four
programs this summer: The Creative Arts Kids’ Camp (grades
K - 2); The Youth Theatre Arts Workshop (grades 3-6); The
Teen Theatre Arts Workshop (grades 7-12); The Teen Stage Crew
Workshop (grades 6-12). The Youth and Teen Theatre Arts Workshops
and The Teen Stage Crew Workshops are offered in four-week
sessions from June 23rd through July 18th and two-week sessions
from July 21st through August 1st. Classes are held Monday

Arts Workshops give children an introduction to acting, musical
theatre, vocal technique, dance, and set design. The four-week
and two-week Youth and Teen Theatre Arts Workshops end with
performances of Broadway musicals. The Teen Stage Crew Workshop
is designed for the child who loves the theatre but is not
focused on performing. Stage crew teens will learn lighting,
set, and prop design and taught all aspects of running a show.
