It may be impossible to count all of
the children and adults who have developed a love of sewing
at Ginny Fawcett’s Needlecraft Sewing Center. For over
30 years, the students at Needlecraft have learned the finer
points of sewing, while picking up the basics of good manners
from Mrs. Fawcett. The Needlecraft School’s programs
are open to students of all ages and abilities. In fact, one
of Ginny’s students is only three years old! Participants
will learn to create their own clothing, while developing
confidence along the way. Always impeccably dressed , Ginny
is a veteran designer who is dedicated to presenting the latest
sewing, dressmaking and tailoring techniques to students young
and old. These hands-on afterschool programs are highlighted
by a spectacular fashion show that is held at Midland Park
High School each spring. To make your stay at the Needlecraft
Sewing Center even more special, all visitors are welcome
to marvel at the sight of “The Good Fairy Table,”
which has a reputation for helping youthful students who occasionally
encounter difficulties with their sewing projects. Children
ages 4 to 16 are invited to enjoy this wonderful program every
Monday through Thursday from 10am - 3pm.
