Acclaimed as one of the best dance
schools in Bergen County, Miss Patti’s School of Dance
has limited class sizes taught by a professional staff in
spacious studios. Students learn to develop poise, confidence,
social skills, self-esteem in a fun-filled, non-competitive
and nurturing environment. “Summer Dance Camps”
are offered to children ages 4 through teens. Classes are
offered in weekly sessions from July 9 - 13 and July 16 -
20 for 4, 5 and 6 year olds, as well as 7 and 8’s. Older
children ages 9 to 17 with prior dance experience will discover
the perfect way to improve their technique and strengthen
their performance skills in the Pre-Teen and Teen Dance Camp.
Classes are offered in two week sessions from July 23 - August
3. The camp culminates on Friday, August 3 with a fabulous
NYC day trip that includes dance classes, lunch and Broadway
shows. Miss Patti’s School of Dance is under the direction
of Patti Vigon, who has danced in the original companies of
several Broadway shows, with the Ruth Page Ballet Company
and in TV and movies, as well as having taught dance to children
and adults for more than 25 years. Registration begins April
16th for the next dance school year. In addition, more than
100 of Miss Patti’s students participate with the internationally
acclaimed Donetsk Ballet (Ukraine) in an annual fundraising
production of The Nutcracker, sponsored by JULIEDANCE. JULIEDANCE
is a non-profit organization promoting the arts as a fund-raiser
for pediatric cancer research and care. JULIEDANCE was founded
by Patti and her husband Darryl, in memory of their daughter
Julie, a very talented young ballerina who died of Ewing Sarcoma,
a form of bone cancer.
