ACT! SING! DANCE! PERFORM WITH NEW FOUND FRIENDS! Now in its 18th successful, fun-filled year: THE SUMMER THEATRE CAMP OF MONTCLAIR 2008!, a young performer’s DREAM camp experience! A truly unique theatrical experience awaits the child who enrolls in The Summer Theatre Camp of Montclair! Parents-in-the-know refer to The Summer Theatre Camp of Montclair as Montclair’s “best kept not-so-secret Secret!” The camp is sponsored by A Midsummer’s Dreaming Theatre Company dedicated to the joyful and excellent training of the young performer. For Ages: 5-7, 8 - 11 and 12 - 17 year old age groups, there are challenging, fun-filled one, two, three and four-week, full and half day programs with an emphasis on acting, singing, dance and improvisational training that culminate in beautifully produced, original musical productions. Camp enrollment is limited, so that each participant can significantly perform in the final celebratory play. The environment of the camp is safe, fun, friendly, well-supervised and focused. The atmosphere is artistic and supportive. The camp day consists of a healthy balance of both individual and team work. Young people gain confidence, focus, self-esteem, memory and concentration skills and, of course, the personal gratification of working toward the goal of a final production performed with their new friends. Professional theatre instructors and certified educators who have the gift of sharing the best of themselves guide each program with care.
