Whether you are searching for a fun way to introduce your child to dance, keep them physically fit, or continue their dance training through the summer, The West Side Dance Center’s summer camp and dance program will do just that. Now, 2 convenient locations in Randolph at the A & P Shopping Center and in the Aspen Business Park by Aspen Ice, the center runs 1, 2 & 3-week camps in July & August. All camps are designed to help the student enjoy and develop an appreciation for the Dance Arts. Kiddie Camp for ages 3½ - K explores ballet, jazz, tap and acrobatics. This camp is geared to the pre-school level and will help prepare them for future dance classes. Junior Campers for grades 1 - 5 explores all styles of dance; ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical, modern & hip hop. Musical Theatre Camp for grades 1 - 5, offers a packed week of acting, dancing, improvisation, with a final performance at the end of the camp. This year’s camps will offer other optional activities such as ice-skating, rock climbing and gymnastics as a part of the program. A short parent observation will be held at the end of each week where the camper demonstrates some of the highlights from the week. Students may register for more than one week at a discounted rate.
