The Roser Tennis Academy offers two summer day programs, Camp Tennis and the All-Sports Camp. Both provide top-notch, enthusiastic tennis instruction in an enjoyable environment. It is the belief at the Academy that hard work plus fun equal improvement at every level. Roser Tennis Academy’s owner/founder George Roser is a certified USPTA professional and member of the Prince Advisory Staff. George brings three decades of teaching experience to the Academy. Camp Tennis is an intensive instructional program for the serious player. Presented from 8:30am - 3:30pm, the morning session consists of instruction on stroke production by a highly-qualified staff, use of video analysis and supplementary training in agility, speed, strength and endurance. After lunch, there are two more sessions: drill and play situations and matchplay in both singles and doubles. Presented from 9am - 3pm, the All-Sports Camp is devoted in the mornings to tennis instruction, drill and play, while the afternoons offer a diverse range of activities including swimming, “walleyball,” basketball, wiffleball and more tennis. Swim lessons are not provided, but swimming is available in an Olympic-sized pool with Red-Cross certified lifeguards. Campers may bring a racquet if they own one. There are demos for those who do not and racquets are for sale in the on-premises pro shop (not affiliated with the camp). All supervisors at Roser Tennis Academy are USPTA pros. The other counselors are college students and an occasional high school player. Children participating in either camp program can buy lunch at the Club’s café or bring lunch.
