Carousel has won The Reader's Choice Award by the Daily Record annually since 1997. Carousel of Learning is a privately owned and operated preschool for children 6 weeks - 5 years old. The main objective of their program is to encourage and support the development of the individual, and to provide opportunities for self exploration and discovery. Since children are active and curious, it is Carousel of Learning’s goal to provide learning experiences designed to stimulate your child's creative learning abilities. Following the Child-Development Model, this acclaimed child care center offers a hands-on activity program which takes place in several different interest areas. The children learn in a variety of ways, including a weekly Computertots Program, Stretch-n-Grow exercise and fitness program, Music Enrichment Classes, Live Science Projects, Signing Fingers basic sign language program and appearances by special guests and visiting storytellers! Positive development of each child's self-image is of prime importance in the program and is a priority in all aspects of program planning. Programs are available in 2, 3 or 5 day programs for your convenience. The school has 3 fenced-in astroturf playground areas for children to use during free play (weather permitting). Setting them apart from other Child Care Centers, Carousel of Learning of Learning offers a 1:3 ration in their Infant Room, while the state requires 1:4. And in 2007 the state will require “commercial grade playground equipment” as opposed to backyard quality....and Carousel of Learning already has it!
