At Camp Discovery, Kids Have Fun - and Learn Too! For children entering grades 1 - 9, Camp Discovery at Fairleigh Dickinson University is an academically oriented experience with emphasis on enriching activities and field trips. Camp Discovery runs July 1 - August 12 at the University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck and the College at Florham in Madison. A special new leadership program for 8th and 9th graders will be offered July 18 - August 12 at the College at Florham. Activities in science, art, theater, nature and sports are the focus of Camp Discovery which was established nine years ago. Field trips for the 2005 camp include a Broadway show, Medieval Times, The Funplex, Wild West City, Powerhouse Studios and Dorney Park. The new leadership program offers workshops and recreational activities as well as opportunities to develop leadership skills.
