Camp Invention is a one-week day camp that inspires your child to be creative, inventive and to stretch their thinking skills. Of course, children just think it’s fun! Campers attend five classes, each with a different theme. Each class is filled with hands-on activities designed to encourage imaginative and creative thinking and to foster problem solving skills. Activities at camp may include: disassembling old machines and designing and building new inventions, experimenting with marbles to learn about physics, designing vehicles to travel the air or seas. Camp Invention is offered through partnerships with local school districts and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Camps are located in Morris, Passaic, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon and Monmouth Counties. Camp is directed and all classes are taught by local teachers. Camp is open to students who are currently in grades K through five. Camp hours are from 8:30am to 3pm.
