Founded in 1960, Ranney School is an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school located on a picturesque 60-acre campus in Tinton Falls. Ranney School’s mission is to see each student mature with character, confidence and courage. Ranney has an enrollment of 780 students from Beginners (3 year-olds) through 12th grade. The students are divided into Lower School (Beginners through Grade 5), Middle School (6-8) and Upper School (9-12). The Ranney School experience supports the motto, “Knowledge, Vision, Honor,” and offers students a challenging academic program that prepares them for continuous intellectual inquiry and life-long learning. The course of study is inclusive of education in the humanities, the sciences, the fine and performing arts and athletic competition, with ample opportunity to explore beyond these basic disciplines through a range of elective subjects and extracurricular activities. The Upper School curriculum offers many honors and college-level Advanced Placement courses. Graduates attend the nation’s finest colleges and universities. Ranney School also offers a day camp, summer study and sports camp for youngsters 3 to 18.
