Giving families a sprawling, safe and fun play space in NYC’s Chelsea/Flatiron District, apple seeds encompasses 15,000 square feet. Started by savvy moms Alison Berna and Allison Schlanger (along with their husbands), apple seeds is the one-stop space for all things kids. Little ones can play all day in the NYC-themed playground as well as take classes in cooking, music, science, art, movement, language and separation. Parents can bond during prenatal classes and seminars. With nine permanent exhibits, featuring everything from a shape sorter garden and a soft play area for infants, to construction and sports areas— complete with basketball nets and gym equipment— the 2,500-square-foot playground keeps all kids amused for hours. The apple seeds facility also features six classrooms, a boutique, a café, kids hair cuts and the most unique birthday parties.
