The Riverside Church Weekday School seeks to nurture and support the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of young children ages 2-6. The School is dedicated to welcoming diverse groups of children who are from different cultures, economic groups, religions and family structures. Parents are welcomed into the classrooms to share their experiences and expertise and are essential in bringing the home and family into the school environment. Each class has a lead teacher who has a master’s degree in early childhood education. Associate and assistant teachers may have a master’s degree, an undergraduate degree, and/or extensive experience. The staff includes a full-time art teacher and part-time music and movement teachers. Financial assistance is available. The schedule runs as follows: 2s (Toddlers)— Tuesday and Thursday, 9-11:30am; Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30-3pm; Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9-11:30am; 3s and 4s— Monday through Friday, 8:45am-12:30pm, 8:45am-2:30pm or 8:45am-5:30pm.
