The Lucy Moses School is one of the country’s most renowned and respected arts schools, serving more than 3,000 students— from toddlers to senior citizens— in the New York area with programs in music, dance and theater. The School offers a wide range of classes taught by master educators and performers in an atmosphere of encouragement and excellence. Sunday strummers and stars-in-the-making all have a place here with opportunities for both individual and group instruction. Studying at Lucy Moses School allows young people to interact with other students and to benefit from a diverse and highly qualified faculty and periodic objective evaluations of progress. Flexible class schedules, a range of levels and spirit of collaboration make it possible for everyone to find the right fit at the School. Frequent performance opportunities, sequential curricula and a pre-professional Young Artists’ Program for highly motivated music students give ample opportunity for those interested in serious study. Founded in 1952, the Lucy Moses School is part of the Kaufman Center, which also includes the newly renovated Merkin Concert Hall and the Special Music School (P.S. 859)— a unique public school for musically gifted children.
