Do you see your child in Annie, The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan? CurtainUp Kids is a theater company that offers children ages 5-12 the opportunity to perform in these and other great musicals from the Broadway stage. Through summer and winter musical theater camps, the children discover their artistic skills; they learn and rehearse the songs, dances and scenes of the musical, and on the last day, they experience the thrill of performing for you at an Off-Broadway theater. Whether your child has a future in professional theater or simply enjoys singing and dancing, participation builds self-esteem and social skills, all in a fun, exciting and nurturing environment. This summer, your child can attend one, two or three camps. Each offers a unique musical theater experience. Siam to Oz, a children’s musical revue that re-creates some of the greatest children’s musical scenes, runs from July 7-25, 10am-1pm. In Making a Musical for Video, July 7-18, 2-5pm, the children create and perform in a musical for video, presenting it to you in a professional setting. From August 4-22, 10am-1pm, your child will perform in the great musical, The Wizard of Oz. Camps are held in state-of-the-art studios in Gramercy Park and Chelsea.
