Island Fencing Academy provides the unique opportunity for your child to learn fencing in a friendly and safe environment. Birthday parties at Island Fencing offer 1 hour of instruction where children get to learn basic footwork, and offense and defense skills. Then they’ll feel like warriors in a move when they get to bout with each other at the end of the class! High quality foam weapons are available as a party favor, so the fun doesn’t have to end when the party does. Parties also include 45 minutes for eating in the party room. The sport of fencing is not only a fun and challenging experience, it teaches discipline, improves balance, and develops eye-hand coordination. Island Fencing provides the safety equipment for beginner fencers so Jedi light sabres and sticks can stay at home! Island Fencing Academy also offers the following programs: Mini-Musketeer Fencing Program (ages 5-7) and Intro Class (ages 8-14). New classes begin the first week of each month. Intro and Beginner Camps (ages 10-14) are a fun alternative to regular classes. Week-long camps run from 9am-3pm.
